Professional Writing: Recruitment Work

During my time at Harmonic Finance, a financial recruitment company, I was able to further cultivate my professional writing voice. For example, over course of my internship, I created multiple job advertisements on LinkedIn, conducted market research and thus provided detailed reports, and more.

Pictured down below, you will find two job-adverts that I wrote and posted.

Newspaper Writing Experience:

From 2018-2020, I was an editor and even section editor of my school's newspaper (The Chronicle). As a writer and editor, I wrote articles, sourced additional writers for my sections, and formatted my section of the newspaper on InDesign.

In addition to the acts of writing, editing, and formatting my section of the paper, I was also in charge of finding writers and holding them accountable to deadlines. This was one of my earliest managerial roles and I learned the value of communicating clearly and regularly checking in with volunteers (days before their deadlines).

Select title examples: "New Diet Urges North Americans to Eat 84% Less Meat", "Parts Unknown: Mental Health", and "More Than S Score: The ACT & SAT".
