Overview of My Role As The
Financial Wellness Marketing & Media Assistant:
As the marketing and media assistant my job consisted of three different tasks: content creation, event promotion (as well as creating/hosting events), and ad-hoc duties.
Regarding content creation, I created a series of informative videos and podcasts on Financial Wellness. The video topics vary greatly, but all aim to answer relevant questions/concerns that students have. Therefore, the video topics include: Affording Graduate School, Tips for Finding an On-Campus Job, Budgeting Tips, The Dangers of Buy Now Pay Later Platforms, and Affording Greek Life, etc.

In addition to creating a video library, I also promoted various events through advertising and even created a couple of financial wellness-based events. For instance, I taught a course on general financial wellness and provided a info-session to international students on specific finance tips they needed to know. Likewise, I also planned and facilitated various on-campus events (IE: FW Inaugural Guest Speaker series, Financial Literacy class, The Game of Life Simulation, etc.) that served to educate the school community on financial literacy and mindfulness.

Some of the adhoc duties I perform include:
-
Informed the community on various new Financial Wellness programs (EX: Meal Swipe Donations, Investment Workshop) through tabling, webinars, and other mediums.
-
Engaged with the student body through in-person finance-related events like the Game of Life, and Financial Wellness Speaker series.
-
Served as the sole student liaison on the Financial Literacy Committee.
Financial Wellness First Year Checklist
I created a checklist for first-year students at Denison that provided helpful information on ways to spend and save money wisely.
This first year checklist was provided to first year students during the 2021-2022 academic school year. It is also featured on the Financial Wellness Website.

I started a monthly newsletter in October 2023, as a means of informing students on what events the office was hosting as well. Likewise, I used the newsletter as using it as a space to promote the student created YouTube videos and comic drawings (created by another student).

From 2020-2022 I was the sole manager of the Financial Wellness Instagram and did so while also creating the Youtube Channel and doing various other duties.
During the 2022-2023 school year, the Financial Wellness team grew, and I was joined by two other students and was thus enabled to focus my work on creating more videos and doing more administrative work (attending panels, teaching, event-advertising, etc.)

I used data analytics to inform decisions regarding content for Youtube Videos and Instagram posts.
Over the years, using data to guide posting times to account for other factors, led to an increase in social media posts' outreach by 3,000%. Likewise, shortening the length of videos and informative posts, directly resulted in higher engagement and retainment of information.
Similarly, I boosted views and impressions for Youtube videos by 650%. I accomplished this by utilizing various mediums in the form of Instagram trailers, newsletters, and print-media posters.
In addition, I was able to grow YouTube views through collaboration with various on campus offices and student organizations. Some of the content with the most 'views' were interviews or done in collaboration with another office/student group.

Financial WellnessVideo Library
Here, I have attached various videos I produced on behalf of the Financial Wellness Office. These videos were entirely generated by myself as I scripted, shot, edited, and marketed them.
Regarding the planning process, I was given free-range with topics and execution.
For further assurance, I opted to meet with my advisor weekly, in which I often presented my posting schedule and would run my list of videos ideas by her and then create them independently.
